Made with GREY GOOSE® L’Orange Flavored Vodka, pineau des charentes, aprika syrup, lime and egg white, this distinguished cocktail pays homage to an aperitif that’s long been a favorite of GREY GOOSE Maître de Chai (Cellar Master) François Thibault.

Aprika Syrup Ingredients

20 Apricots
3 tsp Spanish paprika
2 cups Caster sugar
2 cups water

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and shake vigorously.
  2. Strain into a delmonico glass.
Aprika Syrup Preparation
  1. To create the aprika syrup, blend 20 apricots and 3 heaping tsp Spanish paprika in a mixer.
  2. Add 2 cups caster sugar and 2 cups water, and bring to a boil.
  3. Lower heat, and reduce for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain.
Tips

Designed to be rich in flavor but not heavy or full, this cocktail pairs well with grilled seafood, especially when it is prepared with citrus and paprika, which are ingredients in the cocktail. At the 2009 Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, it was served with a shrimp and scallop ceviche.
